Joe Schafer is a mixed media artist, husband and father of two based in Durango, CO. After a successful career as a custom finish house painter, Joe discovered his latent talent for fine art painting through a process of experimenting with various mediums and techniques. Following an instinct to explore his creative talent and voice, Joe went off the beaten path and became a full time fine art painter in 2018. Joe has since been working in his studio at the Smiley Building’s ArtRoom Collective.
